About Switchr.be
Switchr.be is an independent comparison site for everyday contracts in Belgium: telecoms, energy, insurance and banking. It is published by WeSave, a simplified joint-stock company based in Paris, with Yacine Sahnoune as publication director. We sell no contracts, act as neither broker nor intermediary, and collect no personal data on behalf of suppliers.
What we do, and what we don't
We record the offers published by suppliers active on the Belgian market, present them in comparable tables, and explain the mechanisms that make a bill move. Every table carries the date it was recorded.
We are neither a broker nor an intermediary. We sign nothing on your behalf, pass no data to suppliers, and ask you for no email address or phone number to see prices.
Nor do we claim to be exhaustive. Some players do not publish their rates; others release them only after a personalised simulation. We would rather say so than imply full market coverage.
On energy in particular, Belgium has official comparison tools carrying the CREG label, alongside those run by the regional regulators. For a figure based on your actual consumption, those public tools remain the reference, and we point to them explicitly.
How we record offers
Recording is manual. We consult suppliers' public pricing pages and transcribe what appears there: price, stated features, conditions.
We do not convert and we do not extrapolate. Where a source carries no explicit unit, the price is not published: a monthly premium shown as an annual one is a worse error than an empty cell.
Marketing claims — "best service", "save up to so many euros" — are kept out of the tables. They belong to the supplier's sales pitch, not to the description of an offer.
When information changes, or an error is reported to us, we correct the page and change its update date accordingly.
How the site is funded
Some links to suppliers are affiliate links: if you sign up after clicking, we receive a commission. It is paid by the supplier, never by you, and the price you get is identical.
That commission does influence the display order: our partners’ plans appear first, ranked among themselves by commission level. Every table says so explicitly and every affected row carries a “Partner” label. The cheapest plan, partner or not, always stays within the first rows.
What the commission cannot do: add a supplier to the comparison, remove one, change a price or a feature, or earn a favourable verdict. Data is surveyed the same way for everyone, partner or not, and every table includes suppliers with whom we have no commercial agreement. That is the rule that makes a comparison site useful, and it only matters if it is stated publicly.
Why we give no ratings
Because a score out of five is a poor summary of a contract whose relevance depends entirely on your situation. The cheapest offer for a single student is not the one for a family of four, and insurance that is excellent for an experienced driver may be out of reach for a new one.
We would rather publish the prices, the features and the criteria that genuinely make the difference, and leave the decision to you. When we do give a verdict, it names an option for a given profile and on a given date, never in the abstract.

Is Switchr.be independent of the suppliers?
On the data, yes: no supplier can buy its way into a table, or have a price, a feature or a verdict changed. On the display order, no: our commercial partners appear first, and we say so under every table and on every affected row. Both facts coexist and you deserve to know both.
Do you sell contracts or quotes?
No. We are neither a broker nor an intermediary in insurance or credit. We sign nothing on your behalf and pass no personal data to suppliers. You always sign up directly on the site of the supplier you have chosen.
Do your comparisons cover the whole Belgian market?
No, and we do not claim to. We cover the main suppliers active on the residential market. Some players publish no consultable rates and therefore cannot appear in a verifiable reading.
How do I report an error?
Through the contact page. A factual error that is reported gets corrected and the page's update date is changed. It is the only correction mechanism we have, and it works better the more it is used.
